It's fortunate we had a wet winter, and the water table was quite high, because we've had almost no rain this spring. Our weather systems have gone into reverse. Instead of weather fronts coming in off the Atlantic laden with rain, we have a high pressure system stuck endlessly overhead bringing us dry air from the continent.
