Burrow Farm Gardens

Burrow Farm Gardens, near Axminster, with stunning views of the East Devon countryside.
I didn't plan any particular visits on my drive back from Devon last week. Thought I would leave things to chance. Wait till around lunchtime, and then simply follow the first road sign I saw that pointed towards some gardens. For where there are gardens, there will also be tea.

And so I ended up at Burrow Farm Gardens, which began in 1959 as a farmhouse garden - a small labour of love by a farmer's wife - and which have now expanded to cover 13 acres, with tea room and plant nursery.

The Rose Garden.

A very unusual-coloured rose. I don't know the variety.

Wild flower meadows.

Lovely shaded walks through the woodland garden.

Cornus in flower.

Ha-ha view.

Wow!
