Three of the four gardens I visited this week had displays of Geums - gorgeous orange flowers hovering above the earth. I am a Geum convert.

I had to look up the word geum. The wikipedia entry was interesting and had great photos. What magical flowers! Makes me wish I was a person who had a garden.

I think they are related to Wood Avens, which grows
everywhere
, so I expect they are probably quite easy to grow.
