Some things in the sunshine

This looks to be the last day of sunshine. Tomorrow the Bank Holiday weekend rain arrives. Took a walk round the Walled Garden at Moreton, but the sun was shining, and they have an Easter Egg trail, and it was very busy and not at all peaceful. Snatched a few pictures of plants I cannot identify.








Maybe Katsura?

The camellias are in flower, but they were not in the mood to be photographed today, and none of my photos of camellias came out well.

Is the second one an osmanthus of some kind?

I've been using the app Seek with some success when I'm out and about to identify plants...it does feel like cheating though.

Today was nice in north-east Wales, after two days of rain, one with a biting wind. More rain to follow. Hey ho.

Thank you! I think it might be Osmanthus x burkwoodii. I hadn't come across it before...

We've got the rain now... But we really needed it. We've had next to no rain since February.

I still haven't succumbed to a smartphone, so if the gardeners do not label their plants, I can only hope that someone on LJ or DW will come to my rescue!

I held out (against Smartphones) until 2017. In many ways, I wish I'd stuck to my old Stupidphone. Keep fighting!

Every so often I wonder about getting one for the garden. But I've still not got one.........

Light on water makes for such lovely abstracts. I used to photograph it a lot, back when I had a spaniel to leap into bodies of water and generate ripples for me...
