We are playing elections
Jul. 4th, 2024 08:58 amCycled over to the polling station at 7.30am, appropriately wobbly on my newly acquired secondhand bike. Very quiet. I was the only person casting a vote.
Only one teller outside the polling station, in the sunshine, on a folding chair, wearing an orange rosette, chatting with some dog walkers. No teller for the Conservatives this time, which is very unusual. I don't know what that says about their levels of confidence.
I have not been tempted to download the Tory wipeout bingo, since I wasn't planning to stay up and watch the results. But I hope someone gets to tick some of the "There is a God" boxes.
