Hard to tell what's river and what's fields at the moment... But where the willows grow, that's where the river normally flows.

I booked a day off work to go walking, because the Met Office promised me a morning of sunshine. Met Office website, thou liest. It began sleeting heavily on my drive to the Isle of Purbeck. Some of the cars I passed had their number plates obscured by snow.

When I was a child, the Isle of Purbeck still was an island in winter, whenever the South Causeway at Wareham flooded (which it did most winters). But then they built the Wareham bypass on its high embankment which stays above the floodwaters (or has done so far).
