Will it ever stop raining, I wonder? Probably not this weekend, looking at the forecast.

I was thinking I should head out with the camera, try and photograph the Leonid meteor shower - it's been a long time since I tried to photograph the night sky.

But, even if it stops raining, with forty mile an hour winds forecast, it is not going to be tripod and long exposure weather.

But I live in Dorset, we are a bit lacking in the matter of boulevards, and it's hard to be brooding and romantic when you are wearing wellingtons.

Such a lovely bit of Rilke with my morning coffee. I just returned from my alone now first walk, with wellingtons, no less! Perhaps one of us should attempt to pen a more woodsy stanza....

Wellingtons: impervious to mud, puddles, and brooding Romanticism...

I wish I could write poems about the woods and the rain, but I'm struggling even to produce a haiku at the moment.

Oh gosh your weather, what a wet Autumn. I hope it settles down soon and get to go out to snap some photos. We can't see many stars now because of clouds.

It has been a very gloomy autumn. Usually we get at least one week of frosty sunshine in November. Not this year.

I guess we are getting all the good weather here. It is so strange it has not snowed yet. It gets me concerned there could be a drought next year. We need some snowpak!
