Illuminations

Went to the Secret Garden at Carey, just after sunset, to see the illuminations.

Not quite dark.

From the car park, follow the lights through the woods...

The walled garden by night. The little café was open, and if I had bought a hot chocolate when I first arrived, I could have sat by the fire to drink it. (The café too busy and the tables all taken by the time I came to leave...)

Magic mushrooms...

The stars came out, Orion above the branches of the illuminated oak, and a blackbird was singing twilight songs.

Pieces of the Berlin Wall lurk among the rhododendrons.
