Bluebell Woods

In Bere Woods, the bluebells are in full flower. The distances are a sea of blue below, a mist of green above. And in the air, the faint sweet scent of wild hyacinths, so subtle it's hardly there at all, until it creeps up on you by stealth and intoxicates you.



Wren song and blackbird song. And now and then a bumblebee humming among the bells.




The sun trying to come out...


Bluebells and stitchwort...
