November is here, with a high pressure system stuck overhead, and the wind in the east, and the days are very gloomy indeed. Though the temperatures are still too warm for the weather to be properly described as dreich.



Met up with C. and her terrier for a walk along the underhill path, as far as the old lime kiln. The gateways still very muddy, but the paths have dried out a lot this past week.

I'm glad the footpaths are drying out at last. We've got the same dry but dull grey weather here.

I can put up with the greyness - it's just a relief to have a spell of settled weather at last. The water levels here need to go down before the winter arrives in earnest.
