Choppy seas

Still a cold strong north-northwesterly wind blowing, but it seems we escaped the worst of Storm Darragh this far east. A few branches down, but no trees. No flooding on the drive down to the coast this morning, just a few places where the ditches are full and shallow water is running across the road.
I was hoping there would be big storm waves crashing onto the beach, but instead the sea was choppy, the bay full of small chaotic waves at cross-purposes with each other.

Dry sand blowing in skeins along the beach.
Things seen: seagulls skimming over the wavetops, and snake-necked cormorants and grebes bobbing among the waves. Flocks of geese passing across the bay.

Tiny sanderlings marching up and down along the water's edge.

The sun trying to break through over Old Harry.
