I know some Morris tunes, but little about the actual dancing... The sides that have costumes made of strips of material like feathers, does that signify that they specialise in a particular Morris sub-type, or is it Rule of Cool?
Yes, there are three styles in the photos: Cotswold Morris wearing white with sashes, North West Clog Morris in the blue frocks, and Border Morris in the coats of rags and tatters. Border Morris tends to be the cool kid - sinister costumes, and very high energy dances with lots of clashing sticks and shouting. 😊
