Wild flower verge

The council no longer mows the verge along the lane into the village, except once at the end of summer, and now it flourishes with tall yellow grass and late summer flowers: Wild Carrot, Field Scabious, Viper's Bugloss.

Yes! Such a beautiful sight. I can't understand why some people want the verges mown.
