As light as...

Crouched down, trying to photograph penstemons at the Secret Garden (without success - my camera insists the pinks and reds are Too Bright), overheard the following snippet from a Creative Writing workshop that was taking place in the barn:

"Complete the following prompts without using a cliché - as light as..."

And had to move hastily away.

Nothing wrong with Creative Writing workshops for those who enjoy that type of thing. It's just that being trapped in a Creative Writing workshop would be my own personal nightmare.

Alas, I wasn't quite quick enough moving out of earshot, and found myself compelled to complete the phrase, without using "As light as a feather" or "As light as air". But I won't tell you what I came up with. Because this is not a Creative Writing workshop.

I don't know what what those delicate plants are, but they look lovely against the light.

I couldn't identify them either - they were probably in flower on my last visit, but I can't remember what the flowers looked like!
