Grey day, silver birch

Out on the heath, a strong southwesterly wind blowing. Not bitter, but not warm. The sun thinks about breaking through the clouds, decides it cannot be bothered. A mistle thrush singing. Ravens patrolling the edge of the marshes.

Rather bleak but lovely landscapes and trees.

Not much colour on the heath at this time of year, though the gorse is doing it's best to cheer things up.
