An early morning walk around the forest. Sunlight & mist. Flutter of pigeons. Coal-tit and Chiffchaff song, and the tiny fanfares of Goldcrests, right at the upper edge of human hearing.
Bright new leaves on the birch. It's not cold. Feels like any day soon the first cuckoo will be heard.
A peaceful circuit through the trees, meeting no-one.
