I thought I saw Caspar David Friedrich along the coast path...






But it was only someone looking for a mobile signal.





But down at Winspit, when I had clambered and slid down onto the ledges, I came across a mermaid, wrapped in a purple towel, combing her hair.

It's wonderful the things you see when you're out walking the coast path!

How wonderful to catch a glimpse of a mermaid. I believe there are more of them about these days.

I love the sparkles on the sea in the black and white image with the person seeking a phone signal.

I often see the merfolk playing out at sea in winter, with their kitesurfing gear, but this is the first time I've come across the traditional mermaid combing her hair!
