Worth Matravers

I know I'm slow...

Worth Matravers early, before the white ducks are on the village pond. (If you pass through the village early, sometimes you meet a woman herding two white ducks along the road, from their night quarters in a garden, to the pond).

Worth Matravers is very picturesque, with its narrow lanes of old stone quarryworkers' cottages. But it's a zombie village. Hardly any residents: nearly all the properties are weekend cottages, and holiday lets.

The Square & Compass public house. Note the Neolithic benches.

Money for old rope (from the local fishing industry?).
