A bribe of Saxifrage

It's too early to be buying bedding plants, even if the sun is out. Yet still I came home from Holme Nurseries the other day with a pot of Saxifrage and a pot of Erysium Leya 'Orange Glow'.

Attempted bribery, along the lines of: "You have bought two plants, and in order to plant them, you must start tidying up the garden."

Yes! This is the week I must start digging up my own two garden plots.

The temperature reached 20 C (68 F) last weekend here, and it was just so much warmer outside than indoors... It was like the weather was telling me to garden!

It is! Seeing expensive plants looking at me reproachfully from their plastic pots nearly always makes me reach for the gardening implements.

I am so tempted to go buy some plants for my window boxes but the last frost is April 1st.

I should buy some seeds and bring the boxes inside and get them started!

I started weeding my flower garden today.

Same here - it's far too early to be buying tender bedding plants. We'll probably still get a few frosts in April. But I couldn't resist a few plants to put in sheltered places against the wall.

It was gorgeous here at the weekend - 20 degrees C (68 F) - and I found myself starting to tidy up the garden because I didn't want to go indoors.
