Once I saw the moon
On a dark night in the woods:
Heart, don't be greedy.

When all the stars have faded
Blackbirds start to sing

Quiet darkness here below
Raging sea above

Grey days, starless nights.
It's hard to write a haiku

Of industrial estates
And the bin lorry.

Winter rains. Deep mud.
Left foot sinks, right foot slithers.
No-one's seen the sun.

Crescent moon at dawn
Watching the doe and her child.
Hoofprints in the frost.

The slow drift from LJ to Dreamwidth has become something of a riptide in the last few days... Even I've been carried along on it. But on the positive side, I hope to re-connect with many friends.
