No, not that sort of beer. Beer is the name of a picturesque fishing village in Devon.
I am a tiny bit prejudiced against Beer, I will admit it. On my arrival, before exploring the town, I had a cup of tea at a café on the beach there, and it ranks high on the list of Worst Ever Cups of Tea. After this, I wandered the town mournfully, without much enthusiasm. Maybe I should have stuck with beer. Maybe the clue is in the name of the place. (Which actually has nothing to do with brewing - it comes from the Old English bearu, meaning "grove".)
