That is such a beautiful garden.

The rose garden is fabulous at this time of year, especially now the climbing roses are right up over the arches.

I didn't take a lot of pictures yesterday. This bright light isn't great for flower photography. I really need to go back on a day when the light is softer, to photograph the brighter-coloured roses.

The light is rubbish for photography at the moment. I know when we're out on a walk, I'm really only taking snapshots, but the featureless blue sky and harsh sun means I'm not tempted to go out on my own to try for something more artistic.

I actually commented on Facebook that I'm getting bored with this constant sunshine, and got a laughing emoji in response from my daughter. Mind you, she likes to sunbathe and she tans. I just burn and get hot and irritable in the heat.

Same here. I was dancing at folk festival at the weekend, and ended up catching the sun, despite hat & sunscreen. Really not my favourite weather.

The rose garden is fabulous at this time of year. Even though it was only created a few years ago, it's really starting to look established now.
