The Walled Garden in March

March continues very March-like. When the sun is out, it is warm. When the sun vanishes behind the clouds, the wind is decidedly chilly. Went to Moreton to wander round the Walled Garden. Drifts of sunlit daffodils looking glorious in the main garden - so many different varieties! Camellias and hellebores in flower along the woodland walks.

Afterwards, coffee and a scone in the café, sitting outside in the bright sunshine. At the neighbouring table, a couple with a tiny tot in a pushchair, whose hair had been tied up out of her eyes in a tiny pigtail on top of her head - a style which made everyone who passed smile at her and wave.
£7.00 now for coffee and a scone. The garden and café are run by a charity, so the money is for a good cause... But I think Moreton may move onto the list of too-expensive-to-visit-regularly gardens now.
