Robber's Bridge, Exmoor
Oct. 22nd, 2025 04:40 pm

Beeches along the lane to Robber's Bridge.

These days Robber's Bridge is a famous picnic spot, but it gets its name from the days when Exmoor was bandit country.

It's a shame there was no sunlight on the day of my visit - this must be a stunning location for photography when the light is right. But at least I had the bridge to myself, and didn't have to battle legions of professional photographers with their tripods.

Taken at f9, ISO100, one second exposure. I didn't have a tripod, so I put the camera on a convenient rock.
