Grey grey grey

A grey day in the forest. Temperature a little above freezing. The wind in the east, but scarcely strong enough to stir the tops of the pines. Robins singing meditative songs.

After January's rain and floods, we've had the driest February for thirty years. All the puddles have vanished again. The ghost of Max, who sometimes accompanies me on my walks, does not approve.

The Computer Wizard is coming out next week to look at my PC. In the meantime I am using the Laptop with Little Memory, which only works slowly and erratically. As I type this the CPU is at 98%. It entirely refuses to shut down these days, and who can blame it, when there's no knowing whether it would ever manage to start up again.

My fingers are crossed that the Laptop with Little Memory keeps going and manages to tide you over until the PC is sorted out.
