Tulip 'Yume no Murasaki'.

'Cairo'.
I had completely forgotten what varieties of tulips I had planted in containers last November, as I always do, which makes it rather exciting to see what comes up in Spring.
Luckily I had recorded their names in an LJ entry.
'Yume no Murasaki' is stunning. Big. Tall. Lily-flowered. And when the sun is shining and the wind is blowing, petals like deep pink-purple flames.
'Cairo' is also a winner. Lovely burnt-orange, faintly striped petals.
The third variety though was a mistake. 'Catherina', a pure snow-white tulip, doesn't hold it's own when it's sharing a pot with bright purple and orange tulips. It might be nice planted with pastel varieties.
