Sparks of sunlight refracting from Sundew.

Green Hairstreak
Green Hairstreak butterflies on the Dwarf Gorse.

In places, the heather is already in flower, but no Silver-studded Blue butterflies on the wing yet.

The Green Hairstreak is such a different shade of green from the surrounding foliage!

I love the chaser and the Green Hairstreak. The only insects I noticed on our walk today were midges. Yes, the dry spell has ended so the midges are out. Only in small numbers so far, but they were around.
