Swanage by Night

Swanage Pier lit up for Christmas. It is not open in the evenings, sadly. You can only admire it from afar. (Yes, it does look like there is someone sitting in the little booth by the turnstile... but do not get your hopes up. It is only a creepy mannequin, keeping an eye on the place.)

Ursa Major above the town.
Last time I was in Swanage, it was for the folk festival, and the town was heaving. By contrast, Swanage on a December evening is a ghost town...

Swanage Christmas lights are quite low key.

Most of the shops in darkness, but this outdoor gear store had some lights up.

Maybe it was the darkness of the evening, and the darkness of the shop windows, but to me this display seemed rather more sinister than festive.
