Purbeck Hills, June

The forecast for next week must be looking good. They're cutting hay in the Isle of Purbeck.



Bright sunshine, cold wind. Met up with C. and her terrier for a walk along the Purbeck Hills.


A steep climb up the hillside, following a narrow path through the gorse and the bracken and the foxgloves.


Along the hilltop with the wind at our backs, and the grass stirring.


Views of Poole Harbour in the hazy distance.


Another steep path down the hillside, then back through the sun-dappled woods.
