Still Life with August Flowers

Not my flowers. There's almost nothing flowering in my garden: just the Nemesia and the Salvia in their pots, which I watered regularly during the heatwave. But on the way back from the vet yesterday I passed a little roadside stall with honesty box, selling pretty bouquets - a little gone over, but that just adds to the autumnal charm.

I love bouquets that have been picked out of someone's garden. They have a charm that supermarket bouquets never have.
