A walk in the September woods. Sunlight on hazel leaves. Nuthatches tap-tap-tapping somewhere high up in the oak branches. Toadstools pushing up through the leaf litter.
These were the co-operative creatures! There were also lots of very charming long-tailed tits dangling off twigs everywhere, but they refused to have their portrait taken.
