Mystery plants at Moreton

I went to the Walled Garden at Moreton last week, in the bright sunshine and the bitter wind, and photographed some things...

Someone has told me what this is, more than once, but the name never sticks in my brain. *sighs*



Mahonia. No bees, it was too cold for bees, but the scent along the wooded walks was wonderful.
