Blackthorn blossom

Down by the coast, in sheltered sunny places the blackthorn is bursting into blossom.


In the meadows, the first cowslips appearing.

That top one would make a lovely watercolor.

Yes. When the blossom is out, I find myself wishing I had a talent for watercolours and ink. Sometimes photography feels too... brash to capture the delicacy of blossoms blowing in the wind.

The sea was just out of shot, silver and dazzling, so there was a lot of light for a change!

It is! Such a pure white. At this time of year, it looks like the hedges are covered in snow.
