puddlesharkA grey grim week. Cold winds. Rain. The tulips in their pots hanging their heads. The blossom on the neighbour's crab apple tree taking a battering.
But the first cuckoo of the year was calling out in the forest this morning. They're late this year. And along the lanes the trees are bursting into leaf. In damp places, the Alliaria petiolata has shot up a foot in one week.
Think I might be coming down with a cold. Haven't been feeling too great the past few days. But hopefully a quiet weekend, with lots of tea, and maybe some detective mysteries, will provide a cure.
